Thank you to our faithful Museum donors and members who have supported us throughout the year. And welcome to our newest members: from Washington, Valerie Garstin and Yara Heinks, and from Oregon, Julie Havelka. Also, from Oregon, aviation enthusiast, CDR Philip R. Rossi, SC, USN (Ret) who joined as a Life member.

With the holidays coming, a Museum membership makes a great gift. Also, find gift ideas in the Ship’s Store and on our website.

Wishing you all a safe ending to 2020.

I miss days at the Museum as lately my volunteer work has been mostly from home. I currently handle incoming mail, attend Zoom meetings, and fill website orders.

I continue to update our Final Flight plaque located near the Museum entrance. Sadly, we recently lost two longtime members, Ellen Grove and Senator Slade Gorton. John C. Williams, who loved to visit the Museum, died in May.  Lee Rossi owner of Oak Harbor Signs died in June. Lee did the museum many favors over the years. And as we go to press, we mourn the passing of beloved docent, Ed Hammond. Ed helped acquire our PBY, rode in parades, was a luncheon speaker, and served on the Museum Board. May they all rest in peace.

And as the year ends, may we all have peace.
