The mission of the PBY Naval Air Museum and Memorial Foundation is to collect, preserve and exhibit artifacts that promote understanding of the history of the PBY aircraft and all other aircraft flown from NAS Whidbey Island as well as the unique Navy-civilian community relationships on Whidbey Island. The preserved artifact will further serve as a tool to educate present and future generations on the past sacrifices made for the preservation of their freedom.

Visit the museum and step back in history to see how a small island town was caught up in the turmoil of WWII and the building of a Naval Air Station that brought the beloved PBY Catalina amphibious aircraft to its shores.
